Fees

We pride ourselves on QUALITY WORKMANSHIP, SERVICE SATISFACTION and VALUE FOR MONEY. 

WE DO NOT CHARGE:

  • A call out fee
  • To provide quotations

Our fees can be negotiable depending on the amount of work instructed and we will give a verbal or written quote if requested before work commences.  We will explain exactly how charges have been arrived at and provide receipts of materials if requested.

Taking the above into account, as a general guide, our rates are below:

Hourly rate:

From £80 + VAT for the first hour. £60 + VAT thereafter within normal working hours.

Emergency hourly rates: 

1st hour From £90 plus VAT then £60/hour thereafter

Landlord Gas Certificates:

From £65 plus VAT per certificate*

Boiler Service: 

From £65 plus VAT per service**;


From £105 plus VAT for service** including Landlord Certificate (parts charged separately)
*Negotiable on orders placed of more than 3
**Newer boilers require parts in servicing which increases the cost

OUR POLICY ON CHARGING:

  1. Not overcharge any customer.
  2. Not carry out any unnecessary work.
  3. Not railroad customers into any work that is not needed.
  4. Not charge for any wasted or unnecessary time when carrying out works.
  5. Not charge for two tradesmen on two-handed work unless necessary – an apprentice will be used wherever possible.
  6. Not charge for excessive time spent collecting materials, collection times over 60 minutes must be agreed with the customer.
  7. Not charge for unnecessary time spent away from the job, and always keep customer informed when leaving the job.
  8. Not charge for tea and lunch breaks.
  9. Make sure that we only charge for time spent at a job and the number of hours worked.
  10. Make sure that any estimated work that is costed at our day rate of 10 hours.
  11. Make sure we present an invoice showing a comprehensive description of work, with a full breakdown of labour & materials.
